The New Faces of the Broward County Young Republicans

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. – On Wednesday, February 3rd, the Broward County Young Republicans held a Special Election to fill the office of President. In a unanimous decision the organization voted in Sheela Venero as the new head of the Broward County Young Republicans.

“I am extremely excited for the opportunity to lead the Broward County Young Republicans. This is an organization that has been active in the political realm of our county since 1960 and to follow so many great leaders is my honor”, Venero stated.

Joining Venero on the executive board of the organization are a few new faces. Jarrod VanHoose, an Iraq veteran, was nominated and confirmed as Administrative Vice President. Daniel Ruoss, a past president of the organization, re-joins the executive board as Political Vice President. Richard De Napoli has taken over as treasurer of the organization, since the former Broward YR treasurer was deployed with the Florida National Guard. New member, Jessica Osman joins the team as the secretary for the organization.

“I am truly excited to have such a strong team by my side. Our organization can only be as strong as our weakest link and this new team is compiled of professionals, veterans and politicos; a dynamic executive board ready to propel the organization into the 2010 election cycle” Venero concluded.
