“Hold me Accountable”

A Message from the Broward County Young Republian President….

Team,

I was honored to be elected to represent and lead this organization back in February. Over the last few months I have sat down and spoke with many of our members, getting input about our organization and the future of the Broward County Young Republicans. I want to make sure that we are all on the same page as I make a few commitments to you.

First, I promise you today that growing this organization will be one of our top priorities. We sat down in our January meeting with 10 people present; in February for our special elections we had 18 members attend. Hold me accountable as we work to grow this club and challenge me if at any point you see our membership lacking. I promise you this club will have grown before the November elections come around. We will have our grassroots army ready to hit the ground to make sure Republicans are elected in Broward County.

Secondly, when it comes to our finances we had less than a hundred dollars at the beginning of this year. We have set up several fundraises and sponsorship opportunities to grow our funds. At the same time we are also working on a budget with our executive board to make sure that we remain fiscally conservative throughout the term.

I understand that growing our club and our funds will happen automatically while providing for our membership. So, it is my objective to make sure that we pursue the following motto and that is to inform, involve and inspire. Inform, comes simply by hosting informative speakers and programs. We will involve our membership in campaigns, volunteer opportunities and networking occasions. Finally, we will ultimately inspire our members politically; whether it is to run for office or be a well informed citizen.

These are my promises to you. Hold me accountable and together we will succeed.

Truly,

Sheela Venero

President, Broward County Young Republicans.
