Anna Alexopoulos Resigns as President of the Broward County Young Republicans.

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. – Last Wednesday, during the January general membership meeting, Anna Alexopoulos resigned as president of the Broward County Young Republicans.

“I am so very proud of what the Broward YRs have accomplished. I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by a phenomenal group of young republicans that help build up the organization and gain the club the notoriety and prestige that we are worthy of. We truly are the backbone of campaigns in this county and I have no doubt we will continue to uphold our reputation. Thank you to my board, my friends, for all that you have sacrificed (many Saturdays and weekdays phone banking and walking). Together, we have achieved so much and I know we will continue to do so in the future.”

Though Alexopoulos is no longer President she will still be actively involved in the organization. She will now fill the position of immediate-past president and continue to sit on the board. Vice-President, Sheela Venero, steps up as acting president until a Special Election can be held in February.
